State of affiliate software 2026: what 535 affiliate tools charge and offer
Two-tier commissions are rare and flat subscriptions are the norm. Of 535 affiliate, referral and partner tools we checked against their own pages, only 65 (12.1%) offer two-tier commissions on every plan, and 299 (55.9%) charge a flat monthly subscription whether or not the affiliates sell.
The median cheapest paid plan is $45 a month ($19 to $99 for the middle half of the 341 tools that publish a price). 269 of the 535 leave paying the affiliates to the brand, and 58 list an MCP server for AI agents. Checked 12 October 2026.

A flat plan is paid every month, including the months the affiliates sell nothing. Only a few tools charge only a percentage of what they track.

- What was checked. 535 affiliate, referral, partner and creator-commerce tools. Each tool's own website, pricing page and help centre, and named review sites, read on or before 12 October 2026. Each tool's sources are listed on its comparison page.
- “Not stated”. When a tool's own pages do not say, it is counted as not stated, never as yes or no. So the two-tier share is a floor: some tools may offer it without saying so.
- Prices. The cheapest published monthly plan, in US dollars, as listed. Percentage fees, setup fees and annual discounts are recorded in the CSV but not added to the plan price.
