For brands and partners
How partners are paid
Every program has two payout cycles a month. Brands are invoiced on the 1st and 16th; partners are paid as soon as the brand pays, at the latest on the 13th or 28th. A brand can also pay its partners itself, from a payout sheet that ViralPayouts writes for its own payment tool.

Two ways to pay partners
| You pay your partners | ViralPayouts runs the payouts | |
|---|---|---|
| Who sends the money | You, from your own PayPal, Wise, Revolut, Airwallex or bank account | ViralPayouts, after you pay its invoice |
| What passes through ViralPayouts | Only the fee, which you pay by card | The commissions, the fee and the payout costs, on one invoice |
| What you do | Download a payout sheet twice a month, upload it to your payment tool, mark it paid | Pay the invoice by bank transfer |
| Status | Available now | Available now |
The payout calendar
Both ways use the same two cycles. A commission is counted in the first cycle whose cut-off it has cleared by, which means it is approved and past the hold (the refund window the brand sets). All dates are UTC.
| Cycle | Commissions cleared by | Brand invoiced | Invoice due | Partners paid at the latest |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| A | The 15th, 23:59:59 | The 16th | The 23rd | The 28th |
| B | The last day of the month | The 1st of the next month | The 8th | The 13th |
When you pay your partners yourself, the same two dates are the days to download a sheet and pay it. See Payouts, holds and refunds for how a commission moves from pending to paid.
When ViralPayouts runs the payouts: what happens to your money
- One invoice, twice a month. It covers the commissions and recruiter overrides that cleared and are not yet paid, less any balance you already hold with us, plus the ViralPayouts fee and the payout costs, which are passed on at cost and itemised.
- You pay by bank transfer, never by card. Quote the invoice reference. The invoice is due 7 days after it is issued.
- Partners are paid after your payment lands. As soon as it can be sent on, and at the latest on the payout day. If you pay late, your partners wait and are told why.
- The money is for your partners. It is used only to pay your program's partners and the payout costs on your invoice. A payout never sends more than you have paid in.
- Checks can hold a payment. ViralPayouts may run identity, sanctions and fraud checks on a partner before paying. Money held for a check stays yours: it is paid once the check clears, or returned.
- Refunds after payout. The partner's balance shows the amount to recover.
The legal terms for this, including what happens to unused money, are the payment agency terms.
When you pay your partners yourself
You keep your own money in your own account the whole time. ViralPayouts tracks the sales, works out every commission and override, and writes a file your payment tool can import.
- Partners add their payout details once, under Getting paid in their portal: a PayPal or Wise email, a UK sort code and account number, an IBAN, or a US routing and account number. Bank numbers are encrypted and only shown back masked.
- On or after a cut-off, open Payouts in your console. It lists what is payable and who is missing details.
- Download the sheet for the tool you use. Only an owner can download one, and every download is logged.
- Upload it to your payment tool, check it, and send. The walkthroughs below show where, for each tool.
- Mark the sheet paid in ViralPayouts with the tool's batch reference. Downloading never marks anything as paid.
Walkthroughs for each payment tool
These steps follow each provider's own help pages, read on 14 October 2026. A provider can change its screens, so its help page is the final word.
PayPal Payouts
- Fund your PayPal business account first.
- Download the PayPal Payouts sheet. It is a .csv with one row per payout, up to 5,000 rows, and one currency per file, so a program paid in two currencies gets two files.
- In PayPal go to Summary, Money, Send Money and choose Make a Mass Payment.
- Browse to the file. Optionally add an email subject and a message.
- Choose Continue. PayPal checks the file and shows the details for review.
- Choose Send Payout. If you upload the same file again within 30 days, PayPal warns you about a duplicate.
Wise batch payments
- You need a verified Wise Business account. Batch payments are set up on the Wise website, not in the app.
- Download the Wise batch sheet (.csv, up to 1,000 payments), which pays partners by the email they gave.
- In Wise go to Payments and choose Batch, then upload the file at wise.com/batch.
- Review the transfers.
- Fund the whole batch with one pay-in, then pay. If your team requires approval, a person with approval permission must approve the batch first.
Revolut Business bulk transfer
- Download the Revolut Business bulk transfer sheet (.csv, up to 1,000 payments in a file).
- In Revolut Business choose Transfers, then + New, then Bulk, and upload the file from the web app. The mobile app cannot upload a file.
- Revolut's own template changes its required columns by country and currency, for example a US dollar payment needs the partner's address. If Revolut asks for a column the sheet does not have, add it from Revolut's template.
- Check the payments and confirm them.
Airwallex batch transfer
- Airwallex only accepts its own .xlsx template, generated per account. In Airwallex go to Transfers, Batch transfer, Batch transfer template and generate one for the countries and currencies in your sheet.
- Download the Airwallex batch transfer sheet from ViralPayouts. Its first columns match the Airwallex template, in the same order.
- Copy each block of rows into the template you generated. A batch holds up to 1,000 transfers.
- Upload the template to Batch transfer in Airwallex, review it, and confirm.
US bank, ACH (NACHA) file
- Your bank must offer ACH file upload for business accounts. Ask its business team to switch on ACH origination if it does not.
- In ViralPayouts choose the US ACH (NACHA) download. Type your bank's routing number and your ACH company name and ID. They are used for the file and not saved.
- Upload the file in your bank's ACH origination screen. This file pays US partners in dollars only.
- Approve it in your bank. ACH takes a few business days to settle.
UK bank bulk payment and CSV
- UK bank bulk payment: for programs in pounds, to partners with a UK bank. Import it in your bank's bulk or batch payment screen.
- CSV: everyone with details in one plain file, for any other tool or to pay by hand.
